Smeargle (the Painter Pokémon) is an uncommon Normal-type Pokémon found among grassy plains and some urban environments within the Johto, Hoenn, Kalos and Alola regions and the Blueberry Academy Terarium as well as the Sinnoh and Unova regions on rare occasions. Though practically useless in battle, Smeargle are fascinating creatures that specialize in using their strange tails to both decorate the world around them and use the best powers of their opponents against them. You probably won't find much use for them outside of an artistic standpoint, but if you're someone that loves surprises, you might have some fun battling with one
